Feel like you are losing your freedom, losing yourself, or losing your identity in a relationship? Its time to set some personal boundaries, take responsibility for your own needs, and not taking on the emotional responsibilities of others. Too often, we expect others to be responsible for our feelings, our happiness, and our sadness. It's no one's job to take care of our emotions but us, just like its not our responsibility to take on the emotional needs of others.
A boundary is a responsibility line. When you set a boundary, you are letting someone know where your responsibility ends, and their responsibility begins. If you don't set boundaries, you're just going to keep taking on responsibilities that are not yours to take on.
